#pre-work for september
It’s time to launch your personalized executive coaching as a tiltForward Fellow.
Take a look at our incredible coaching team, and then take 2 minutes to fill out this coaching form by Tuesday, September 17. We’ll share more in person as your coaching will formally start in October!
Come with an artifact of how you’ve implemented your learning through tiltForward so far. We recommend a revised version of your vision or how you’ve concretely applied a tool like the compass or 7 Cultural Dimensions. You’ll have an opportunity to share with your sync and get feedback on how you can take your work to the next level. We invite you to reflect on these questions:
at worked, what didn’t, and as a result, what did you learn about yourself and management?
Where did you get stuck? Where can you go next?
Read Chapter 3: Leading a Small Team from Julie Zhuo’s The Making of a Manager. Consider your approach to coaching and developing your people, particularly through 1:1s, check-ins, or other individual structures you have in place with the people you lead. Consider as you read:
How do you currently hold space for 1:1 support with your people? What works, what doesn’t, and what do you want to hone in your practice? What are the superpowers and growth areas you bring as a manager to this kind of support?
What makes a strong 1:1 or check-in experience?
Please bring soft or hard copies of a recent check-in or 1:1 meeting, coaching conversation, or other structure you’ve hold with someone you lead. Reach out to Andrew if you have any questions.
